This has got to be the worst idea for a PSP-to-TV product yet. Big, bulky and very "ghetto". The thing basically captures an image of the screen (including scratches and marks on the screen surface) and sends it to your TV. It doesn't get its video signal directly from the PSP hardware.
But how many of those scratches and marks on the screen do you see when your actually playing the game? I don't see any. For those people that do not want to poen their PSP and void the warrenty this is the perfect alternative.
I have seen video footage of this in action and the clarity really has to be seen to be believed.
I didn't buy my PSP to play on my TV. I have other consoles for that. I have a feeling there isn't really a market to drive these things to become better, either.
We are going off topic. I know for a fact that many people will find this very useful including myself. It's bulky yeah, it's ugly yeah, but why not get the most out of my PSP.
TechRep... Not that kind of friend I think it's a neat product... But I have a few questions:
1. Why does it cost soo much?
2. I wonder if it works with other devices that have small screens?
3. How does it connect to the PSP? I would be worried about scratching as well. Easily solved with some felt covering on the parts that make contact, but well see.
4. How do you play games like that?
The sight is so dumb they don't explain anything all the do is constantly stretch the fact that "you don't have to open your {+[__P_S_P__]<>}" I mean constantly in every way possible they say the same thing 50 diff ways. I'M WIT @YOYO how do you play games using that thing you might have to remove a few of your ribs and vital organs such as *heart, spline, and pending lung* L:-DL but I heard something in the past where "you can connect a ps2 controller" YUP!
Wow, that is ugly. please do not tell me that is what it looks like. I like the concept of watching my UMD movies on my tv when I'm at my house. But wow. That's like your mom asking you to wear a dress to church. How embarrassing.
I imagine that this would only be great for watching UMD movies or Mpeg movies via memory stick while you're away from home, like in a hotel room. But if you try to play a two player game against someone in the same room, only your game screen will be on the TV. Your opponent will still be looking at his PSP so what's the point? Unless of course you both have separate PSPtv thingys and two separate tvs in the same room. They need to make things more clear. I'm not so sure how great it will be to play with my PSP while that enormous thing is attached anyways. If they had a way to merge two PSP screens into one so that you and your opponent would appear on the same TV screen that would be great. Also if they made a controller that plugs into the PSP so that you could put your PSP down when it has the thingy on it and enjoy the game using a separate controller that would be great too. But as it stands now, unless they have some major clarifications that have not yet been made public this thing might be DOA.
so.. audio. If you want to watch a movie on your tv with this thing it doesn't say anything about having any audio adapters or hookups of any kind.
Big picture, little tinny audio. Bleh.
actually, looking at the photo's it looks like it uses the serial connection from the remote slot, so you'd probably be out of luck for audio connects as well. If this isn't the case then the least they could do is put together a site which isn't all about slamming the competition and actually lists some useful info.
