some people on this site need to realize that you can get a huge tv for less than a psp + memory + lame accessories

I was looking for something similar and found a madcatz docking station. I wanted one that would a) charge my psp while docked, b) provide built in data-transfer connection for usb, and c) plug into my computer (or stereo) speakers if I wanted it. I found this all in the madcatz 3 in 1 docking station. I'm pretty pleased with the purchase. The price was 24.99, half of what this one is listed for. The only thing it's missing is a remote.. but the docking station includes a connector for the psp headphone remote.. so I'm wondering if you can control it with your regular stereo remote??

Does it have an IR sensor on it anywhere?
jamezz-
uhm...
Wow.

No, there's no IR sensor on it, that's why I'm thinking it probably won't work.. but as far as volume controls, if I were to turn the radio up/down with the remote it works (it's just controlling the radio, not the PSP).. but no video controls at all of course... I'm sure someone with enough knowledge of IR could figure out some way to wire a receiver into the tab that serves as a remote plug and make it work..
By the way, on the madcatz website the product is called the PSP Pro Desktop, not the PSP 3-in-1 Docking Station. Here's a picture of what it looks like: link and they list it as $19.99, not $24.99 like I paid at GameStop (thx for ripping me off GS).

i wonder if it has space to let the wriststrap sit. most of the docking stations dont have that, making the psp tilted when the wriststrap is on and not being able to charge properly.
