It's a huge step forward in the right direction.
It means that Sone is actually working at trying to make the PSP better for the consumer.
Yes, 15 minutes is very little but this could lead the way to making a 10 hour battery for the PSP.
Also it adds 15% of the original battery life (just about 4 hours) so techinically it would be moreso 30 minutes which does indeed count for a lot.
Yes... it would depend on how your PSP is being used.
Playing Burnout... I only get about 2 - 3 hours of battery life.
Playing Untold Legends... I get about 4 - 5 hours of battery life.

I agree as well. There's absolutely no reason they haven't come out with a 3600mah battery yet. Well, One that doesn't stick out of the back of the PSP, anyway.
Look at other power technology, say, AA batteries. You have the Duracell and EverReady, the standard life non chargeable ones. Then you have batteries like Sony Rechargeables. Higher capacity, better use of the power stored... And they're the same size. o,O;
All I'm really saying is that we'll most likely see 3600mah plus in the coming days... I can't wait. ^^ lol
it may sound stupid, but looking at the battery of a PSP it looks like sony could make a battery pack that would hold 1 AA battery or 2 AAA batteries. although they wouldn't give lots of playtime, you could just carry a handful around and all your recharging would be eliminated.

So, you want to spend more than the system cost on batteries alone, correct?
well, there are really high end rechargable li-ion AAs and AAAs that are for cameras that would last longer than a PSP battery. also, i meant that that you would use it as a backup battery, when the rechargable was dead.
