well, from yen to usd conversions its around 80 dollars but its only announced for japan right now, unless it has a dramatically lower price or higher write speed theres no point in getting it vs the san disk gaming addition or even the sony original black one. However, try to avoid the blue line of san disks cause they have a slower write speed then others.
Just thought I would post a thought on buying the Giga Pack (and thus the 1GB memory stick):
Although this seems like a great deal to get the 1GB stick for $ 50 bucks with the Giga pack, if you feel like down the road you will want to get a 2GB stick, etc, just get the regular pack and use the $50 bucks towards a higher capacity card. I regret getting the Giga pack for this reason...I know it sounds like common sense, but, hey, just thought I'd mention it...my 2 cents - -
got this memory stick as 512 was a bit too small for my films and music that i put on them...only downfall about it, it does tend to get stuck in the memory card slot on the psp
