I just ordered the "Chrysalis Blue".
After I "void my warranty"... I will post a review with photos.
+
Yeah it will void the warranty, but I can live with that
Even if you do replace your current faceplate with one of these then your psp breaks in the future, just put the old faceplate back on and sony wont know that youve ever touched it.

$12 shipping, man the silver one's cool but for $71 total, even I think that's a lot of money for a cover that will show a heck of a lot of finger prints and not even have any PSP verbage on it. The silver sticker for $10 is looking more promising

munchies said: "I hope it doesn't void the warrenty...hmm.
Maybe I'll just get it when my warrenty expires :D"
Yes it will!
and Yes u should!

This what im been waiting for

I don't like the fact that the LED lights are just holes instead of transparent plastic. I don't need more holes that can get crammed with dust. It's a good idea, but it'd probably feel cheep like a cell phone faceplate. I'd like to feel comfortable without my psp skin, and this almost did it, but not quite for me. ...they need to make a transparent skin. Someone should tell VinzDecals to make one (they're alot better than dacalgirlz skins, since they cover EVREYTHING).
+
I think the faceplate is of very low quality like all of those other cellphone faceplates every company sells that aren't oem( original equipment manufacturer). If you look at the instructions the faceplate and the screen cover is separate meaning low quality. Why couldn't they come out with one piece? This would lead to more dust. If you look at the original black psp faceplate you notice you can run your finger right through from left to right and not notice any creases or anything because it was built as one piece. Also Ace I agree with you, the area for the led lights are holes why the hell couldn't they have it as transparent plastic? I mean If i'm going to pay 70+ after shipping thats like 1/4th of the price of the origina psp and it doesn't even include any electronics they should at least make something worth making. Instead of coming out with stuff they think would sell because its not on the market yet. Also on the warranty thing. I didn't get one and my reason, because if your spent well over 250+ on something why wouldn't you have the common sense to try to take good care of it and not just rely on the warranty? I know a lot of people are gonna flame on me for this but o'well Thats my two cents.
+
I'm not going to flame anyone for posting well thought-out concerns.
I agree with some of your thoughts, "I2icel3all".
For the price they are asking... it could be all one piece with no holes.
As for warranties...
Have you ever tried to get warranty service from Sony?
I have... it's not easy... and, it is not worth the trouble.
If you can return any product directly to the place of purchase... it is much easier.
+
This is not a bad idea. It's only a matter of time before this type of mod leads to a PSP's with a touchscreen.
+
I certainly don't want a PSP with a touch screen. Plus, no game designers would support the functionality anyways. And it wouldn't work. Touch screen games are all stupid. And all of this "revolutionary DS" crap is a bunch of BS. Touch screen games have been around since the first palm pilot was created. All their games suck too, but at least you can get a bunch for free. ...stupid DS...
+
While the holes are a valid comment, the holes for the speakers are much larger and never seem to bother me, as for the removable screen think about it. What if you end up scratching up your screen portion of your psp, now you can buy replacement screens that can just go together with the faceplate you already purchased, instead of buying a solid piece which would require complete replacement in such an event.
+
xandui, I understand what you mean but i'm pretty sure this company didn't think about that part instead they just thought about the profit they could make by making a cheap copy of the original oem psp faceplate and make more money from it.
+
man this stuff looks tight! too bad i dont want to open up my psp...
+
l2icel3all, ive actually read the companys website's newsletters and that was infact their intention with the removable screen protectors. Also their liquid crystal model isnt plastic so it is possible they had to design their templates to allow more flexability in the material they use.
