LocoRoco are free-roaming, free-rolling creatures. With their own happy language, hypnotic backgrounds and music, LocoRoco is like nothing you have ever seen before – you'll just have to share it!
Instantly accessible, guide your LocoRoco through the various worlds using a simple tilting and bouncing gameplay mechanic – using the PSP system's [L] and [R] buttons to tilt the ground up to about 30 degrees in either direction. The jelly-like LocoRoco just can't stay still - guide these little characters as they bounce, roll and jump their way to the goal, avoiding splinters and enemies.
Grow LocoRoco by eating fruit, the fatter they are by the end of the level, the more points you get. And when they are too big to fit through narrow pathways, split into tiny LocoRoco at the push of a button to squeeze through small spaces and uncover hidden rooms and treats. Pop out the other side and combine back into one big LocoRoco to continue your journey. You can even guide your LocoRoco through certain walls to collect secret items, so there's plenty to satisfy skilled gamers too.
With various levels such as snow mountains and jungles, and unique characters to meet along the way, you can be sure that your LocoRoco will always be smiling. Perfectly proportioned for the PSP system, LocoRoco is so happy, bright and unusual, it's guaranteed to keep you smiling too.
I hate opening old threads, but i just got my refurbished PSP in the mail (cracked screen, long story). I just remembered that there was a demo for this game, and a little buzz about it being pretty good. OMG!! I'm hooked. I have played it nonstop for two days (still cant find the 20th locoroco). I KILLED MY BATTERY WITH A MEMORY STICK DEMO! The music, the detailed animations, the background visuals. All of it is so addictive, I dont even care that its so cute its almost gay.
its an old thread?? i think its a new release in the UAE, but i think its been atleast 2 weeks scince its been out, i see it advertisements everywhere, it seemed stupid, so kiddish, but after i heard what u guys said about it, i think i'll go buy it tomorrow...been wanting to buy something, but i didnt know what to get, would u guys rate this over outrun, burnout, prince of persia or THUG2 remix?
me got the game its so cool, well i only played for 1 hour till my battery ran out, so i didnt really play, the controls are as simple as they could be, but thats an advantage, no need to remember things, and who said the minigames arent good? well i only played the first one, i still havent unlocked the other 2, its not really a game, but its fun..and the loco house, its not useless, yes its not essential, but it gives another touch to the game, its so simple it would need something to back the game up, otherwise the game would be pointless...game rated 9.9/10

No you are right, it's nintendo all the way... the ever repeating music etc makes it complete.. I've had mario nightmares from it (I used to live with too people who played mario all day for years AAARGH, can't help waking up every now and then with those brainwashing tunes in my head)
