Translated as 'Extreme Ghouls 'n Ghosts', this is an entirely new adventure in the classic 2D style with 3D graphics which adds more depth to visuals. New to the series is the ability to power up your skills, including jump (double jump, fly), magic spells and new weapons. Also unique to the game is the ability to branch off into different areas rather than just play linear stages.

This looks fun. I hope it is not another disappointment for the PSP.

not a chance, this is capcom we are talking about and they are very precious of Arthur
edit: come on, it aint all that hard, besides, what would you rather have, a hard game that takes weeks to complete or something simple that you complete in 1 day (and so a total waste of money)edited: Sep 01 2005

One thing's for certain about Capcom's handling of Arthur and the GnG license - they do NOT plan on you beating these games in a couple of hours! Give me a CHALLENGE and I'll play it all the time. Give me a walk-thru, and I'll play it once.

Looks great... let's hope it includes the original games also

Oooooooh, Beano! That would be AWESOME!
Seeing as every GnG game combined would be under 20MB, I don't see why that's not do-able. Here's hoping Capcom gives a shout-out to the long time fans. (You know, the folks who'll buy this game.)

so this the same line of games from the classic ghost and goblins game from the original nintendo? i had a lot of fun with this then, but now, i hope i can find the same enjoyment.

Finally the manufacturers are realizing that not everyone is fascinated with 3-D type games. I would gladly pay double for a 2-D side scrolling game like this - if only to re-live some of my childhood. This one is sure to sell big with people who owned an original NES and these type of games.

I wonder if the controls will feature the double jump and being able to toss weapons while looking up or while you are in the air, looking down.
