A rechargeable Lithium Ion battery adds 5 hours of playtime to the PSP. When in use, the PSP will utilize the power in the charger case first before draining its own battery. While charging, the PSP is charged first then the case is charged.
The PSP recognizes the charger case as an external power source so you can recharge your PSP from the case without having it plugged into the wall as long as the case has power. The case will actually transfer its power to the PSP's internal battery.
The charger case also features a 4 foot wire that will allow you to remove the PSP from the case to play while you are still using the cases power.
The case itself is a brushed anodized aluminum with a neoprene lining making it shock and water resistant.
i have a problem..im going on a plane in a couple of days for a 5 hour flight cross country. i want something to extend my battery life so i have in on my trip and on the planerides and carrides. should i get this charger case or logitech playgear with a power brick? or some other way to protect and have extra battery life. there are so many choices and i cant figure out what would be best for me.
Good. Real good. I picked one up last weekend and today I did the ol' "Run Spiderman all day" test. I got just over six and a half hours on the battery in this case. I'll miss the BloodRayne insert in my Playgear Pocket, but this is my new favorite case!
I currently own the case, but I don't think I'd buy it if I had to again. My problem is that the case loses its charge far too fast. Basically it will lose it's entire charge if left unplugged for a week. I could have a defective unit, but the manufacturer's website does state that it will lose 8-12% of its charge each day. That seems really fast to me.
Visually it's not that good looking, but that's personal taste. It is very sturdy, it could probably be used as a blunt weapon. I wouldn't want to test the water proof claim made above though.
It needs a lether or cloth cover that zips around it, for umd and headphone storage,
the only thing I can fit in the thing is a cleaning cloth and an extra memory stick
A note for any one who wants to buy one, dont order it from amazon, unless you want a silver one. Or am I mistaken and there all silver?
If therey are someone should change the picure for it on this site.

I think you got it backwards. Captain reported in his review link that the silver model was a limited edition case and that the standard model available through retail are black.
i got it for 40 or 30.. its good but takes 8 hrs to fully charge. With the PSP charging inside, it takes 11. But its good besides that is a little bulky.
