A rechargeable Lithium Ion battery adds 5 hours of playtime to the PSP. When in use, the PSP will utilize the power in the charger case first before draining its own battery. While charging, the PSP is charged first then the case is charged.
The PSP recognizes the charger case as an external power source so you can recharge your PSP from the case without having it plugged into the wall as long as the case has power. The case will actually transfer its power to the PSP's internal battery.
The charger case also features a 4 foot wire that will allow you to remove the PSP from the case to play while you are still using the cases power.
The case itself is a brushed anodized aluminum with a neoprene lining making it shock and water resistant.
The other case, Nyko Theater Experience, might be better since it does have speakers and also acts as a charging case like this one. It is a bit bulkier but since the PSP is so large already and any hard case will make it too bulky for a pocket getting either will not make too much of a difference... the theater experience seems like it might be a bit pricey though.
I hope to be able to find this less expensive elseware (wishful thinking, you never know what you'll find on the net!) It seems awesome, a hard carry case that charges the system... I'm drooling
