Why fuss with all those conversion programs when you can just record movies and TV straight to your Memory Stick? Hori's Memory Stick PRO Duo Video Recorder allows you to do just that. There are four different recording modes:
150 minutes - 320x240, 30fps, 768kbps/128kbps, Stereo
270 minutes - 320x240, 15fps, 384kbps/128kbps, Stereo
530 minutes - 320x240, 15fps, 192kbps/64kbps, Stereo
1070 minutes - 116x112, 15fps, 96kbps/32kbps, Mono
The minute measurements are given for a 1GB memory stick.

Currently scheduled for Japan only with a price of 11,800 YEN (~$105 USD)

A great device - but I bet people would want to invest in more memory sticks as well, making the cost increase to an arm and a limb.

It's cool but i have Ti'vo i wouldn't want to put the stuff on my MS then have to >> comercials and stuff. I think the product is great though very good idea and the price is amazing.
If i had money to spare i would probally get it but i would rather get another 1gb MS for my anime/hombrew/music stuff^^

I curious about what input/output connections this machine has. If it is
anything less than s-video input is not worth it for me. I like my video crisp.
Also, my high quality movies are on DVD or my hard drive, so unless this
recorder has a DVD tray, it not worth getting, IMHO.

I would get it. I wonder if it has region restrictions. They need more devices that do things for the PSP.

Unless you have no clue about digital video recording and authoring, its not worth it. You can get a decent PVR card for less.

I think a portable DVD player would be more economical and less time consuming. Just play games on 'yer PSP.
