IMO white looks fugly because the gloss has been taken away (glossy white? i don't think so)
perhaps its the picture that's making me say this, because at first, i thought black would be pretty damn ugly, but of course, i was proved wrong
I'm glad they made the white one non-glossy.. white looks sterile to me.. and that is why i like it. the black does look nice, but if they had a black matte version I would have bought 2 at launch, I hate cleaning my psp after every time I use it.
needless to say, i'm getting a white one.. if not 2.
i think its better in white because when u play youre fingerprints dont show up after you use it! not like the black psp (one that i have) that one u see all the fingerprints after u play wit it!
Sony showed four colors when the PSP was first introduced. The white is by no means a surprise but I would love it. As far as Sony's color being black, I am not so sure. Sony's product's are often introduced in many colors in Japan, but elsewhere the fans aren't as crazy so we get stuck with more 'safe' colors, like black. Go PSP, white is an exciting development. Maybe they'll release the yellow and blue ones soon, too.

Nope - it's called having a career and money. My son now gets the black one.
PS - SONY's "color" is hardly black - most of their stuff now is white or silver.
