I like 'em just fine. Realistically you can't expect Sony to provide top of the range headphones whithout dropping fair $$$. Quite good headphones, I have no complaints.

I just received the black version as a present from a friend in the US, they go TWICE as loud as my europian white version headphones...
now with the black cords and better sound, i actually use them! they are quit good!

Here in New Zealand the release date was September 1 and the only pack available at the time was the value one. I preordered and got it complete with these headphones. They're not that bad - they're a little light, the remote is junky and the colour is wrong but the sound quality is ok and it was free so...
Why would you want it above 90 dB anyway? I think thats comparable to the level of a chainsaw!

Wow Sable..your definition of free is interesting. You did PAY for the valuepack right? Sony makes headphones for .25 cents a set..and sells them at $40 a set. They could afford to include a decent set.

the white europian versions are restricted to go loud.. There is a black version in Asia and the US, but they are not allowed to export them to europe, because they go almost twice as loud. a friend send them over as a present from the US. They are great compared to the white ones I got with my EU PSP.
they are $19.95, not $40...edited: Oct 09 2006

oops, never looked at the price of the straps... and I don't know about those metal parts on them, they might scratch your psp...
sorry, but as I mentioned before, distributors are not allowed to ship the black headphones/remote to europe (because they aren't restricted in loudness as the white EU version). You will have to ask a friend from the US , or someone from this forum to buy it and and send it to you.
or wait untill they fnally release it here in europe (if they will), but then you will have crappy headphones again... (although you only want the remote)
