i know at first glance it looks usefull but when u think about it , its pointless. If the plastic gets scratched it doesnt matter because the laser redes from the opening while the disk moves. this is pointless unless u have ocd and can bare the thought of seeing a scratch.

ditto, i really wish sony did a floppy disk idea where it has a retractable metal cover over the readable media area
+
wow thats provides no use at all, t doesnt read it from the plastic!!!!!
+
Waste of Money, and if there was a retractable metal cover over the media area
UMD disks would easily break
I remember how many floppy disks I broke as a kid because I always pulled that thing
+
if such a cover was designed like MD covers, it wouldn't break. I'm still somewhat surprised that sony didn't include one.
+
LOL!!!!! this is quite possibly the most ridiculous PSP accessory yet.
+
This is about as useless as a urinal in a women's washroom, if not more.
+
they should have mat a clip that you could slin on and off when oyu wanted to use the umb .slide the clip of the the side to reveale the read hoel and slide it on to the top of the umd it's self to store it while it is in the drive
+
Guess the best UMD protection is to always leave it in the machine
The only reason I would get this product, is if I found out that my protection case scratches the UMD (like I think that the soft case from Sony does if you get some dirt in it).
