All cases are virtually indestructible and carry a lifetime guarantee. Clear cases are made of High Impact Polycarbonate, the same material used for motorcycle windshields and helmets. The colored cases are made of High Impact 5% Glass Filled ABS.

Some of the unique features: Waterproof (spillproof)– with a silicone O ring, the case can be dropped in water and will float, not allowing any water inside. Dustproof – once closed and latched, nothing can get inside to damage the contents. Crushproof-people have actually driven their vehicles over the 3000 Case with no damage done (we do not suggest this however).

• Outside Dims. 8.375”L x 4.375”W x 4.000”D
• Inside Dims. 7.875”L x 3.875”W x 3.625”D
• Weight 1.03 lbs.

My guess is the people that have negitive things to say about the cases have nothing worth value to protect. These are the people that use plastic sandwich bags to keep their cell phone from getting wet...yeah those won't tear, and I'm sure they provide great shock protection too!

Well, I'm sure it would be an excellent medium for storing away your PSP...but I use my PSP on a regular basis, I have no intention of stowing it away.

1) It's big. Sure, the dimensions don't seem too bad, but the PSP is already pretty big for a portable device. My Playgear Pocket provides decent protection while only adding a slight size increase. This case isn't a mobile case, it's a storage case.
2) As I said, no need to store my PSP, it's not like a device I only use once a month.
3) It's not a 'play-in' case, it's designed solely for storage, which means I get no protection whenever I am using my PSP, which is the most likely time to drop it.
4) It's ugly as sin. You can make a durable case look good, I'm sorry :P. It really does look like a plastic bucket.

I don't dispute that it would do a good job of protecting your PSP, but it doesn't protect it when most vulnerable, and it really is just ugly. It'd be good as a storage method (In which case I question why your buying a PSP) or to transport your case IF you have a second case already (As I'd want to put it in a real case the second I took it out). I personally don't need a second case to transport my PSP, my Playgear Pocket works fine as I long as I'm not abusive with it.

Don't waste your money on this crap...get a Pelican case. Military grade, 'nuff said.

If you REALLY want a large case like this to put your PSP, all games & accessories in, Pelican is the only way to go.

Oh, and Pelicans come in Black, yellow and orange by the way with Black being the most common. Also comes with Foam inserts that you can custom cut easily using an electric carving knife (easiest way)

Who's the fool? Looks like a battery, lunchbox, bucket... Reports say S3 Inc has pre-orders for over a thousand units since the media release a few days ago.
Doesn't look like their hurtin'. Nice work S3, I love the other cases you manufacture, keep it up.

Note to Jim, a thousand units? That's nothing...I don't doubt it has it's certain niche in the market, but 1,000 units (even only a few days after) doesn't mean it's a success :P.

Pelicans cases in this target market are probably better, but it still doesn't fit my personal case needs (mobility and protection while playing being my top priorities). For those of you who are buying it, I'm sure it will do a good job of protecting it, I just feel that they are cases that better meet more specialized needs.

i havent tried it out, but it seems like it would work well. i have a playgear pocket and love it to death. i would use this when i was moving or going on vacation, as a transporter to keep all my psp stuff in one spot, high, dry, safe. like i know that some airlines that dont let you use a psp on the plane. they claim that it could interfere with the plane, Wi-Fi and all. so id put in my luggage or carry-on knowing it would be save and sound.

First let me say "function of design". This product is designed to PROTECT items like Camcorders and Cameras and it does it very well. I use one alot like this to carry photography equipmnet on whitewater kayaking trips to protect my equipment and travel documents. Before Pelican cases came along we used army ammo cans (yeah they are waterproof). I fly two to three times a week and have never had an airline tell me I could not use my PSP on the airplane. As far as WIFI it turns off on the PSP , just like it idoes on probably 90% of the laptops that are used on airplanes daily. I indeed have taken my PSP on a whitewater trip where I used a case alot like this when it was new ...18 days on a river without my new PSP.....youre kidding right. One note of caution on a case like this they seal water and airtight. What happens when you change air pressure without a way for the air inside to equalize?(such as on an airplane) Thats right they explode....Go explain that one to the office of homeland security these days. Go directly to jail.
