hmm, looks pretty nice. this is what i thought the logitech playgear pocket would be like. black, more compact, and aluminum make this a pretty nice case. if it worked as a stand and got some really nice reviews i'd consider using this over my playgear pocket. 28 dollars isnt bad but for that much it better be good.

I happen to think this is one of the better, if not THE BEST case for PSP right now. I love mine. This new black colour
will suit the PSP even more. The only thing I'm wondering is if the black will scratch at all.

I think this is exactly the same case as this one, just in a different colour. Don't quote me on it though.

No "ewwwwwwww" at all - this IS the best PSP case out there. It's light, doesn't add much to the size, protects wonderfully, and is easy to play with it on - and...it is a stand for when you're watching videos, etc.
I rate this one an almost perfect score. I have the original silver one - but I think the black will be more prone to scratches as it is painted on (so is the silver, but it's silver underneath, so scratches don't show much)

I agree with you 100% slb, my freind bought this case and it does a damn good job of protecting it. You can also adjust it to watch movies. There is only one flaw and thats that you have to lift it out of the case to change UMD's. But come on people you just "lift" if up out of the case.

majin17: you are correct - but I see that as a plus - I've read that some people have accidentally ejected their UMDs, so this might be better!
mattochler: black might look cooler when new, but I'd get silver...personal choice.

I have the silver one, the only problem with this case is you will definitely need a screen protector, because the metal tongue that clicks the case closed can hit the screen if it isn't closed the right way. There is no way around it, and even if you are careful, you might still occassionally close it the wrong way, causing the metal part to hit your screen.
Other than that, it is a great case, snug tight, light weight, and will hold the PSP even upside down (even though it comes with a sticker warning you not to do it)... if you find it awkward to play the PSP with it on, it is easy to pop the PSP out for extended gaming sessions, but for short ones, it is no problem at all.

to all those out there that waited for that dumb logitech case to come out instead of getting this one let me set you strait...this is the best case out there!!!!!!!!! now that its in two great colors there's no better time to throw away that crappy plastic case and get this.

looks very sleek, but is there lining throughout the Whole case interior? cause it doesnt look like it. maybe the psp could hit those sides w/out the lining. And another thing that worries me is since its metal, wont it dent easily? and then penetrate to the psp? i mean cmon, polycarbon is bulletproof! but yeah. those are my concerns (that need clarification).

The main thing I dont like about the case is the flap is opens at the bottom instead of the top. That is very irratating.

It is fully lined inside with "wetsuit" material - no need to worry.
The case opening on the bottom is cool - but you ned to use it to get it.

I find that with the case opening backwards and folding underneath it gives me a better grip when gaming. I also belive this is the best case out thus far. Light, and Slim with access to controls. For me it is the little things that really set this case apart, for example when you have it open in a manner that props the unit up for videos, enough space it avalible underneath for the headphone jack without any stress on the jack itself.
