The Belkin TuneCast II Mobile FM Transmitter wirelessly connects portable music players to your car or home stereo using FM radio waves. Just plug the TuneCast II into the headphone jack of your PSP, tune your car stereo or receiver to any clear FM frequency.
The Auto ON/OFF function powers on when an audio signal is detected and if no signal is detected for a period of 60 seconds, the device switches off.
• Transmits on FM channels 88.1MHz-107.9MHz
• Memorize up to 4 FM frequencies
• Powers on and off automatically
• Features low-battery LED indicator
• Operating Range: 10-30 feet (a distance of 10 feet or less will minimize interference and provide the strongest signal)
• Includes 2 AAA batteries so you can play your music anywhere

belkin products are crap. especially their surge protectors. don't buy this pos!

I like Belkin products well enough, but in general I was completely disappointed with the audio quality of this and all other FM Transmitters. Too much interference mixed with a low-quality audio source to begin with spells returned hardware every time.

I hate radio. What a waste of technology. Now, a SIRIUS satellite radio hookup would be the bomb.

Ahhh - this is the FM transmitter I was talking about when I saw the post for the other one - I tried this one for a week then returned it. I tested playing a CD in my car stereo to using the FM transmitter with a portable cd player, and the sound was distinctly muffled - might be good if you just want a FM solution or have low quality source material, but it's not a good solution for music at all.

If you find the right one then it's worth the money. The one I use not only pumps sound through to the radio like all others, but you can also plug in your USB memory stick and it turns it into an MP3 player. I almost always use my PSP, but I've used my USB stick as well and it works great. It cost me $25 at the local Costco. For anyone interested, here's the link

if u have a cassette player get the casstte adapter, SO much better and MUCH better clarity u wont be dissapointed and they give u enough cord it wont be that terrible with one cord

I agree with most of the above. FM transmitters are horrible. I bought two different brands, and neither worked. Went with a $10 tape adapter instead.

Normally I'd agree, but the one I mentioned above is a rare exception to that rule. Believe me it was money well spent and my friends are hard pressed to tell the difference between that and anything else coming out of my car's speakers.

Zero, zilch, nadda.
I've had it on 1 radio station and never had to change it. After hearing what everone else has gone through using these things I was fully expecting to run into the same problems when I got it, but I haven't had one single problem yet. I almost bought one by Belkin, but decided against it shortly after a friend told me he went through two of them and had nothing but problems.

atareon im gonna get this online for 30$ because costco no longer sells it. I hope you are right about it having good sound quality and strong signal.

Although I didn't buy this brand of FM transmitter, I did discover that there was some static at first. But then I turned the volume down on my PSP by like 5 notches and I very rarely have any static problems. I usually have my volume set at 24/34 for CDs and normal radio, but when I bring the volume down on my PSP, I have it around 28/34. I do like my music pretty loud though. The radio station I have it on is 88.3 and here in Tampa theres a pretty strong station at 88.5. I cant even remember what brand mine was and I bought it 2 days ago, so it most likely was an off-brand. I bought mine for 30 bucks at CompUSA. It runs on 2 AAAs, with an advertised 6 continuous hours play-time. Very basic (no off switch even... it has auto shut off). The radio station changer is a little annoying because I have to cycle through (at most) 16 stations to choose one. Even though I'm content with it, I would have probably bought a tape adapter if my aftermarket stero had a slot for it.
