maybe he doesnt have a usb cable. in that case, it might even be faster than usb cable cuz you dont have to go into the psp options and connect it.
however, i do believe this to be a complete waste of money -- either go out and get a USB A-to-B connector cable, or get a different usb media card reader off of newegg (like said above) that has multiple types of inputs.

This is product for those that own more than one MSD. Lets say your at a friends house and he has a PSP formatted movie on his PC that you would like to wath later on your PSP, but your PC is not on your person at the moment...well if you have this thing on you (which it looks like it might fit perfect in a pocket) you just whip it out (making sure your extra MSD is loaded into it), plug, copy and your done.
But again this is for those that actually have more than one MSD, that is the only current use I can see.

Not a bad idea, but I think $20 USD is a little too much for a Memory Stick reader. Something more like $10 should do it. All it does is interface with your computer. Oh boy. USB flash memory storage is cheap as hell these days - 512MB can be had for $30. A reader is not expensive technology.

if u have a pprinter that takes san-disk and memory sticks for photos you can just use the memorystick adapter tha comes with the mem stick duo and i just reads it as removeable drive

The movie wasn't even funny. correction.
YOU, thought it wasn't funny. Although your opinion regarding people quoting it, is valid. There is nothing worse than hearing "I'm rick james bitch, I'll be back, iiiddiot, mos def" a million times a day.
As for this piece of hardware.. Great for cameras, (even though with camera connected through USB, it's the same thing as a removable harddrive)... So, since this site is about PSP...... That makes this pointless, useless, a "middle.. middle manager.
whats the point. Does anyone want to have a controller that controls the controller? didn't think so.

I don't know about this Hori model, there is a very good reason for having a separate high-speed reader/writer. If you own a high-speed Memory Stick Duo, you won't see a performance benefit using it with the PSP and USB cable. Even though the PSP uses a hi-speed USB 2.0 connection, it doesn't access high-speed Memory Stick Duos any faster than a standard Memory Stick Duo. However if you have a reader/writer that supports high-speed sticks, you'll see a good performance increase when transferring your media.

Alright alright, hold on guys. Instead of buying this overpriced piece of crap that only supports Memory Stick DUO formats, why not purchase something here?
link
The first item listed costs only $10 USD and supports a LOT more formats than Memory Stick Duo only. Hori is just trying to capitalize on us PSP owners. Don't buy into it.

Now if the "smart" companies out there would just make something like this that plugs into the PSP's USB port and would accept different card types, namely SD cards (read: cheap high-capacity storage!) then we'll have something !!!

$20 and it only works with duo sticks!? why not just spend $5 and get 12-in-1 card reader that pretty much reads every flash memory format out there?
