I wonder if those are in-game engine shots or pre-rendered cutscenes. The last three certainly look to be in-game, but the first could be either. It looks a little more detailed than the others, so could either be from a more advanced game build (hopefully!) or a CG render (likely).
Either way, it's a beautiful looking game. Let's just it has that all-important quality: Being fun to play.
I saw the review on X-Play . Its mostly a rpg where you roam around . When I fist saw it I thought it had a cool concept. Four online players running around hunting for monster. It nothing of the sort, its a weird jap RPG.
Monster Hunter is a real-time RPG series in which up to 4 players can beat the living crap out of any fauna they find in the field. It also has offline play (the Playstation 2 version did, anyways, I believe) for 1 player so he/she can enjoy him/her/self while not connected to the net.
