Not the most 3D intense game ever produced - and that's a GOOD thing for a title such as this one. These Bubble Bobble saurs have been around a looong time, and this Bust-a-Move game is exactly what the PSP needed!
Basic modes include Survival (simulated two-player against a character opponent), Endless (an endurance test of sorts), Single and VS (also against a char opponent).
The visuals are classic and yet freshly intense -- a kind of reversed micro Pachinko game on acid. The play of the game is the same as you've probably seen before, multicolored balls tossed up against other balls, same-color sets of three or more drop down. Variables include micro bombs and other special balls. The play area is set on either side by bright, colorful animation. The variations on this theme are minor, but the game itself remains my favorite of the 'puzzle/column/tetris' style genre. There is sufficient variety here with the modes of play that you won't get bored with it.
Quick, simple, highly addicting gameplay with beautifully designed and rendered cartoonishness in this classic. A solid winner all around, possibly worth a 10 if I had someone else to play against!
