A new version of the popular Taiko drumming game, Taiko Drum Master on the PS2. Rather than using an external Taiko drum, the PSP version will make use of the D-pad and action buttons as well as the shoulder buttons which will control the rim shots. The analog stick will also get some play in the game. There will be a regular gaming mode as well as a variety of minigames.

ADD TO WISHLIST I HAVE IT Other PSP Rhythm Games

I bought it yesterday, and I have to say I haven't been so happy since Ridge racer release! I can't stop playing it! it's the exact replica of the arcade (without the drum of course), but full of stupid sound, unlockable features etc. Great visual (clean and sharp, the psp screen is definitely a shock!) great great sound, etc. Well, I just hope they will make tones of games like this one! it's so addictive (for the ones who love the genre of course!)

I agree with willykyu. I wrote a review but it hasn't been published. Great game though.

If they do release an English version, they'll futz around with the songlist. A lot of fans hated the songlist in Taiko Drum Master for PS2. I haven't played that version, but I do own several of the Japanese PS2 versions of Taiko no Tatsujin. I think your enjoyment of it will be directly related to how much you enjoy or are open to Japanese language songs, mostly J-Pop and anime songs.

But I don't know if they'll release an English version. Took Namco awhile to even do Taiko Drum Master and the sales haven't been very good.

Hiya! Does anyone know how to save the game? I don't know a bit of Japanese, so I don't know how to save my games. And I ended up losing a bunch of songs that I did.

NAMCO has released 3 new songs on their website.
You can save them in your memory stick and then ENJOY!!! : ) (CANNOT be played in multiplayer though)
dangg..one of the new ones is harder than the last(38th) original song.

Well, most people just put the game in the PSP and turn it on -- then they use buttons.
