Wow, this looks awesome. I currently use PSP video 9 and have zero problems, so why pay $24.99 for something that I can get for free.

Movies compressed with psp video 9 occasionally have audio sync issues. If this program prevents that, there is your answer.

Does it convert the movies to the PSP native resolution or does it stretch it like the other movie converters.

I wonder if this program is any better than Sony's offering (Image Converter 2)? If anyone has this program, please tell us your thoughts on it.

TrickyKid - Just for the record, the PSP will not display ANY video from a memory stick at full native resolution. It has been capped by Sony. You can get close, but will have to use the PSP's different display modes to stretch it to fit. It still doesn't look too bad. Just another way Sony "encourages" you to only buy your movies on UMD.

Kinoma Producer outputs 3 of the native PSP memory stick resolutions, including the highest allowable size and rate up to the Sony cap, 368x208, 29.97 fps at 1500 kpbs. I think the normal quality setting is a really good trade off for the size of the file you get, and you can still use all the onboard player view modes too. The free trial is for 15 days, and you can make a short 15-30 second clip to test the quality settings and see the output. It also passes Sony's memory stick qualification specifications, so if they ever make the video on the memory stick interoperable with other products, these videos are qualified to work.
So try the trial and see if it's good enough for you. The only warning I have is that you should make sure you write to the stick with a memory card reader, or make sure that the PSP is in the usb drive mode before you select the export location of the video. It's way easier than writing it to the desktop first. If you want to keep a back up on your Mac, copy the file from the Memory Stick to the desktop machine AFTER it finishes writing out the directory structure, thumbnail and file. That way you don't have to create all of that manually.
