I think they are identical, this is just an extra battery that you can use to charge your main one or to use when the main battery is dead.

This one is $13.
The official Sony battery is $48.
These are Brando's prices of course.

I might try this... I don't think it's ugly or awkward looking.. and i'm sorry, after readin so many threads about "wahhh, I can't put it in my pocket with that thing on it", I don't care what you say as an excuse, even if you have a bulletproof case with ballistics gel on the inside... you should not have, a PSP, in your pocket.
would you move your 50 inch plasma HD flat screen in the back of a pickup without it being strapped down?

No... but I have shipped one of two across the country in a cardboard box to have it repaired by Sony (the 50" HD plasma monitor, that is). These things weigh like 90 lbs. so they wouldn't be fun to put in a pocket.

... I'm assuming you understand I was just using that as an analogy, reflecting (get it) how sensitive the PSP's screen is.. I thought I had damaged my screen (inside) by cleaning it, when I was cleaning it, the matrices blurred togther (like a calculator), only stayed that way for 2 hours.

that's why the fist thing you do after getting a PSP and before getting this battery pack, you get a screen protector. and don't mean something like a clear film. I mean something like a screen shield.

Every screen protector I have found, I dont like its visibilty factor. So thats not an option for me.

Yes, but then you would have to remove your main battery, which makes all of your settings go away.

I've taken my battery out, put it back in, and didn't lose any settings. What do you lose specifically? Mine still had the time, the nickname, all of that intact.

I guess he meant "game in progress" like if you couldn't save the game at that point and it was about to die.
