Except that is sometimes reasonable, like say your car cost $100... Or if your rich, and you have a 35 thousand dollar escalade, with diamond encrusted 28" chrome spinners or d00m...
+
35k Escalade?
you must be living in cheap land, because they cost upwards of 45k
with diamond encrusted 28''s? That's about 200k per wheel, link
But true 35k is still mad money.
+
i stand corrected

Memory sticks are not practical for most people's media needs. How wants to be able to store only a couple movies max or a couple hundred mp3s? I bought my PSP cause the games rock not cause its replaces an iPod or iRiver for media. Sony is wondering why the PSP isn't as popular as other media players, Well maybe cause it costs just as much but stores almost nothing and then is twice as bulky... I think they should stick with making TVs and Game systems while leaving things like portable mp3 players to people who actually make use or hard drives.
+
OMFG....this things is askin us to pay the price of a freakin PS3 !!!!!! i mainly use the PSP for music cuz PSP's lineup sucks rite now...so i rather buy like 2 Ipods for almost 500 bucks!@~
+
Wel i think that an good way so make an external memory like and laptop harddisk work is to make use of the psp wireles conection that conect the psp wirles with the hardist wich wil have to be close near with its own battery.
Sinds psp has pretty powerful wifi its possible to do online gaming and stream the data from the wireless harddisk, the only thing is who wil be the 1 to make it work :-)
And btw ipot pretty suck itself its so fagile and it freeses so much sound isnt as perfect there are cheaper media devices with 20 gig or more that are more stable and have better soud just face it ipod is selling becaus is the first to make an working media device of that caliber.
But as time go's new media defices are showing up but with apple keeping ya guys in the clouds ya wil never able to see it sook around on the net and see the fact that apple guys are an bunch of huslers themselfs.

it looks good but im not buying any accesories or memory sticks that are more expensive than the actual psp!!!
+
Here's a question though. I've read that the Sandisk memsticks beat the Sony ones hands down. Not sure if that has any realavince here or not, but there it is. lol
Oh. Why not buy the 2gig, and sell off your 1gig. It'll be just like buying another 1gig, w/o the need to change cards.
+
Agreed, the sandisk cards have a faster speed and response time, and of course, a little bit cheaper. I've the 2gb sandisk and even though its expensive, its money well spent.
+
link they have 2 gig memery sticks for 157.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+
BEWARE, the site listed the Mfr Part # as MSX-M2GS which is the REGULAR 2GB and NOT the hi-speed one according to part #s on the Sonystyle website. Though they give the description of the hi-speed one, they also have a separate listing for the actual hi-speed one with part #MSX-M2GN. I'm thinking false advertisement...
Conclusion, MSX-M2GS (for $158.99) is not the same as MSX-M2GN (for $349.99), the main difference is the hi-speed. On a related note, link has the Sandisk Ultra II 2GB for $173.27 (no stock till 9/24/05, which is tomorrow).
