will be great, when the ability to 'back up UMDs' is available. heh.
especially with the 40g storage swapper device posted by someone earlier. since a UMD can hold a max of 1.8, it would be just enough to slap a game back and forth. of course. a legal, backed up game. not the ones released by those evil paradox fellas. heh.

ps2 doesnt have hardware anti-aliasing either
trust me on this, the graphics chip in the PSP is more advanced than the PS2, and it wont be long before you see games on the PSP that exceed those of the PS2. If you wanna compare graphics, compare the PS2 launch games with the PSP launch games. Launch games NEVER show the true capabilities of a console, and its usually a year or 2 before the consoles are pushed. Gran Turismo Mobile will probably be the first title to push the PSP graphically.

What's stupid is that if it's that small, it could have just been planted inside the PSP to start with, and they could have had a 2 Gig HD inside the PSP, and sold more units for like $275

yea put a hdd in a fukin psp. CAn anyone say battery killer?
and for the alising this explains alot about the ps2 alising link
Also midnight you were right i was looking at the ridge racer launch title for ps2 n it looked horrible LOLedited: May 23 2005

I understand how all you guys feel. I mean, who wants to pay that much for just 2 gigs? Does anyone know if there's an adapter that can turn a usb drive into a giant memory stick? If so, I'd love to buy it!
+
What a ripoff. I realize that you're dealing with a high amount of storage capacity in a chip around the size of a postage stamp, but a price like that is purely unacceptable.

That's a 60GB harddrive that's built for laptops. It's more expensive than the other ones because it's smaller.

iPod has micro harddrive inside it. Why not the PSP? Of course there's no space inside it

again ppl battery life....geez

Originally I wanted as big as possible, 1 gig back then but the "Yellow" Sandisk never realized so I bought a 512MB SOny - and I figured out it's actually enough for everything I need.

If someone would make an adapter from USB to duo memory, I could hook up my external HD to my PSP. Now THAT would be nice! (Although not convenient for traveling! =P)

they already have the 40GB external HD for PSP. also they sell cases for laptop HDs that have USB ports so you can use them as a large flash drive, they might work too. i just want to be able to stream things from the external HD to my PSP then i will buy it

I have a 512 but would not mind getting one of those. Too much money now. I'll wait untill it drops in price. thank you very much.
They should ship the PSP with at least a 256 not a 32
How cheap
