If you need this kind of storage.. I suggest getting the Sandisk one for 350$ (comming out this summer) ..... Instead of the 500$ Sony wants!

last time I heard, the PSP only supports up to a 1GB card, and the PSP won't support the hi-speed features of the memory stick regardless. Duh.

Guster, where do you see that the PSP only supports up to a 1GB card? The above product details were taken from Sony, so I would imagine they were correct when referring to the ability to use this Memory Stick with the PSP. You are right that the PSP won't be able to make use of the hi-speed features, but it wouldn't make any difference anyway. The point is that you can put the hi-speed MS Pro Duo in a hi-speed compatible card reader, fill it up, and then put it in your PSP, which should make things faster. This will be noticeable for those who need to transfer that much media.

I had heard the PSP supported up to 2gb. Nice to see they are finally available. Ill hold off until price comes down, though. Down a lot.

It would actually be cheaper to get a 1GB and an external storage solution that reads memorysticks.
Then you'd have 21GB+ of storage.

anyone agree that sonys memorystick fromat is the worst format out there for flash memory? i mean it is hardly universal and it is no better than sd flash media yet they charge you 3x the price. it's bs if you ask me. a memory stick that does nothing but holds stuff for more than you payed for you beautiful psp? Give me a break!!!!!!!!

i find the 256 almost suits my portable media needs. 1 gig would be a luxury. 2 gig. well hell i still want it. but its price goes beyond all sane reasoning. i mean .. unless you're a doctor that makes good coin :O
