In this special edition for US gamers, Agetec has completely revamped the title with added features from its Japanese counterpart. Armored Core: Formula Front - Special Edition has everything the fans love from the Armored Core series plus so much more, such as, artificial intelligence (AI) designing and wireless head-to-head action. Building an unstoppable warrior to annihilate the competition has never been so much fun. Unlike the Japanese version, this game will allow you to control your robot, rather than rely upon AI. The game features multiple Arenas and a ranking system, customizable robots with hundreds of parts to choose from and connectivity to the PS2 version.

I remember playing the original on my PS1 a LONG time ago. I hope the controls are set up the same way. Loved that game and hope this one is just as good. BTW, the American version will have controllable robots because American Gamers prefer action games and shooters. The Japanese version did not include this because Japanese gamers tend to prefer RPG and Strategy games. Not to say that American gamers don't like RPGs and Strategy games or that Japanese gamers don't like Action games and Shooters its just slanted in a certain way for a better sale in that area. Personally I would have gotten this game either way, although I prefer it having the controllable robots.

I know you won't admit it but deep down inside I know that everyone here knows that if it weren't for Asians gaming wouldn't be for what it is today. Yeah that's right. Lol."

raven369 is right

Ok i'll help its straighten. You will be able to control the AC's the AI battles will still be in the game but most of the game you will be able to control them. Which makes me happy.....almost creepy happy.

I would rather have it be like Nexus. With left-hand weapons and machine gun clips, the 500 different parts would be a stretch but I hope these are at least 300 parts. I think this would be the perfect game for infrastructure mode (if it is it will be the first online game for armored core) so you can really work your way up the Arena ranks.

Wait a minute? Since when we can't control our robots in Armored Core games?
As far as I remember, the 1st Armored Core game in PSone (Jap version) were able to control the mech completely, and even it has multiplayer mode! am I miss something?

I am definitely getting this, but I wonder if some of the customization features from the original will be sacrificed for the controllability. It sucks writing this with the psp keypad.
