Previously available only in Japanese, PoPoLoCrois is coming to an English speaking audience. This classic fantasy story features brand-new sequences from the animated TV series, new playable adventures, plus exciting battles with rich, vibrant colors and cell-shaded 2D graphics.

This game looks pretty good, kind of has an old school look to it with crisper graphics. It seems like it also has anime style videos. I am definentely getting this game.

Blagh!! the description is all wrong, it's 2 games not 3 and it's 2 ps1 games, the ps2 versions are 3d and cel shaded and not in this package!

OMG I justread this whole thread....I respect everyone's opinions ans all but come on....IF YOU LIKE ACTION GAMES IN 3D AND ALL THAT THEN PLEASE DONT COMMENT ON 2D RPG'S...IF YOU ARE NOT A FAN OF THE GENRE THEN SHADDAP. Reading idiot's posting like "LAME" and "WHAT IS THIS CARTOON CRAP" obviously have never played a japanese RPG....not that they would anyway, because they are "LAME" and "CARTOONY"
bty ... the people who wrote suh lame comments are probably 10-14 year old kids who watch cartoons after school every day...
BOTTOM LINE: Not all videogames have to be violent bloody finger twitch games....sometimes it's nice to relax and get absorbed in the great stories that RPG's provide us.

my gf jus got me this game, nd im on the 2nd chapter. i luv it, its pretty kul, but every game has their downs... the loading time is just like magna carta 4 the ps2, it takes like 4ever jus 2 get into a battle or move onto another scene. plus, gameplay seems 2 b a bit 2 easy, though this kiddy game is stil very addicting.
O, 4 u 3d freaks, 3-dimensional games rnt better unless they look good, lets say megaman: maverick hunter x. the 3d movements of the demos and boss intro suk Rilly bad, 2d was so much better, as x also looked more hardcore and ready 2 fight. plus, 2d games tend 2 b funner than most graphic-concentrated games> w00t 4 2D games

Right on, SluGGo. Too many whiners about 3D vs 2D. I wanted to find out about Popolocrois, not the opions of those that don't even like 2D games. Personally... 1D or 4D, if it's a good game - it's a good game. And Popolcrois is a good RPG that happens to be 2D. The storyline and character development are more important that the latest pixel technology magic. Tone down the grapics, cut the story by 80% and it would be a GBA title. But it looks good on the PSP, appears to be a very long quest (I'm on Book III) that would only fit on a UMD and those of us who enjoy this type of game will find it quit satisfing. And those who don't like 'em... will just continue to bitch and moan!

With more games like this and more rpg's the psp's life has taken a good leap forward,
more ppl should play games like this and tales of eternia, y... you might learn something from them =)
looking like a great game, cant wait to try it out =)
