This new addition to the SOCOM series, takes place in four locations, with Chile being new. After a mission is completed, there is a new 'Instant Action' feature which allows you to replay the mission with new objectives. There will also be functionality to allow PSP users to sync up their PS2 information via USB cable, allowing the progress in both games to affect the missions. Furthermore, weapon customization will also be possible.
As can be expected, both Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure co-operative play will be possible, with the ability to form clans and do team-based play. By default, Fireteam Bravo will have two instead of a four-man team. Controls will also be optimized for mobile play.
I had hoped that zipper would re-work the controls to a scheme like syphon filters in time for its UK release. (It hasn't even been released here yet - 21st april) But i doubt they would bother...
As far as i am awear, no. Star wars used the analogue stick to walk left right for/back and the face buttons to aim/look right? whereas Socom uses a lock on system where the analogue stick is go forwards/backwards and look left and right. Then R is lock on and O is shoot. I think...
I tried twice to play this game, both single missions and multiplayer. I cannot stand the control system. They should have adopted something similar to Syphon Filter.
How many people can play at once online?? and does the psp have a built in microphone that you can talk to other people on that i didnt know about? or do you have to buy that seperate??
the max online players is 16 (8v8). the headset is seperate and costs about $20, you can find it at ur local game store. the game is very addicting online but gets boring after a couple of months. it should hold u off to the next one.
