This new addition to the SOCOM series, takes place in four locations, with Chile being new. After a mission is completed, there is a new 'Instant Action' feature which allows you to replay the mission with new objectives. There will also be functionality to allow PSP users to sync up their PS2 information via USB cable, allowing the progress in both games to affect the missions. Furthermore, weapon customization will also be possible.
As can be expected, both Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure co-operative play will be possible, with the ability to form clans and do team-based play. By default, Fireteam Bravo will have two instead of a four-man team. Controls will also be optimized for mobile play.

Wow finally a decent 3rd person shooter, let hope that they can port over some other games like Ghost Recon or Desert Storm, they would also be aslo on a PSP, need to make sure the controls are good thou.
I love these military squad games, makes you think, rather than shoot every thing that moves....
Hope the Infastructure mode allows us to play online agaist eachother, without the hassle of XAI or the other methods.

Yes, they are PSP screens, keep in mind that they're in 256x145, not 480x272, so they look smoother than they actually are.

not entirely true, phildo. ad-hoc = one device to one device. infrastructure requires access point/router. you can still use infrastructure locally without getting online.edited: May 13 2005
