If the situation is the same with their other case (it may not be), then that price includes the VAT, which wouldn't be levied upon North American buyers, making the price more doable. Though you'll have to email them for the details.
Really nice case, but the thing that bugs me about it is that they have the UMD's right on top of the screen when closed and though it may not be touching the screen if you hace this case in your bag I wonder if it will have the strength to prevent a book or something else from pusing the UMD inot the screen. Also this is better seen when you go to their site, but why do they have the analog stick removed?
I really like this Ambition Case, best I've seen so far IMO, but I'd have to bite down hard to pay more than $30 for ANY case. (How about a new contest, Capt!).
The most expensive case I've seen so far is this one: link
It's listing for $149.00usd and it's not even made of leather. The Ambition case, I understand the price, but this one (the "PS Pictogram Series" case) seems way out of whack for what it is.
GT, the Pictogram series is a very limited edition case that came out in Japan only, hence the price. It was a collector's edition, not for everyone. I just spoke with Noreve regarding the price of the above Ambition Case and the cost to North American users will be $59USD. Still expensive, but a little less than $71USD and far less than $149 USD
Thanks for both clarifications, but limited or no, that's way overpriced for the Pictogram. $59 is better for ambition, and it's exactly the type of thing I've been postponing a case purchase for, sigh, guess I can wait a bit and try to find a deal on this after it's been out awhile (and when maybe someone has time to review it). I'm one of the people that doesn't mind Sony's free soft case, works fine for me as in interim solution.
Gotta say the positioning of the UMDs would worry me and the price point is awful. However, I do love the fact that it's got memory stick and UMD storage, I just don't think it's executed quite right.
Those bullet points have got to come from a manufacturer's web site or press release. More marketing that means nothing.
The Logitech Playgear case -- it strikes me as kind of bulky at the hinge and clasp. I bought it and returned it the next day unopened. I couldn't get used to the idea of playing it in the case with the lid hanging open. Anyone else get this?
The PSP is held in place in the case very well by two foam-rubber "cushions" in the sides - it's doesn't fall out then you open the case or anything - it's very nice
Also the UMD's in the lit doesn't touch the screen at all - no worries.
Far better case than PlayGear Pocket
I have submitted a full review which have more details, please read it when it comes online
