GripShift is one of the first video games for the PSP system to combine high-flying stunt driving and unique puzzle-solving action in an all-out, pedal-to-the-metal racing experience. Players will race as one of six unique characters in supped-up, customizable vehicles as they stunt their way through insane twisting levels while collecting power-ups, avoiding traps, beating the clock and challenging friends. Featuring more than 100 levels of puzzle-like challenges in fun, vibrant environments, and additional bonus games, players can race solo or with up to three other players via the PSP system’s built-in wireless feature.

There are four new video trailers up at IGN: link
They show Challenge Mode, Race Mode, Vehicle Customization, Bonus Games, Track Building, and more
Although GripShift releases tomorrow, some lucky guy got sold a copy early and has posted some comments on the developers forums:

I just got this yesterday, and it's loads of fun. It's like Mercury meets Midnight Club or something. The challenge levels are fun, but the minigames are a total blast. Who can deny to fun or bowling down penguins with your car? Or sinking the 8-ball with your car on a huge pool table? The load times are also really quick. I'll try to write a review soon, but so far the reviews I've read are favorable, and I agree. It's a silly fun game and is very enjoyable.

Flux, when you want to start making your own tracks, a helpful tutorial can be found here

Thanks for the link, Jos. The track making doesn't seem too difficult. Just time consuming. I do look forward to playing other people's tracks. Talk about replay value!

It's an ok game. Was worth the rental but that was about it for me.

nah not as good as frantix

Cool game, but a killer game for the psp would be Kung Fu Chaos from the xbox, plenty of mate-boozing-hilarity-games to be had in that one.

This game is fun. I like the puzzle levels (don't like the racing ones much). The level editor keeps the game going afterwards. It's surprising to see New Zealand music as the bgm for this game, but hey, it is NZ made. I guess I'm just getting over the shock of listening to NZ tracks in a video game.
