Just so you're all aware - the game will be 'region free' that is it will play on any PSP anywhere in the world, so while its unlikely to obtain a release outside of Europe if you import it you'll be fine.

(similarly all languages will be present on the game regardless of where you purchase it, important if for instance you require the french translations or whatever)

yeah but the exchange rate is very high and importing will cost bundles.

People in the US, see how much your games would cost to import from either Play.com or cd-wow.com! Both are pretty cool and do some good deals for uk/european gamers. Just a thought. (Free shipping too).

This game is amazing, I got it two days ago and haven't stopped playing it. It does only appeal to certain football fans I think, you have to get over the idea of not actually playing the games themselves, but using tactical knowledge instead. For a sports interactive football managment fan, this is an absolute must. I'm going to write a review after i finish my exams but just incase anyone who knows the setup wants to know...:

there is no 2-d match engine (a return to he good old days of text)

The game is pacey and the interface slick and easy to use

There is hardly any loading, atleast nothing you wouldn't expect (amazingly quick considering the huge database

there are 19 leagues in 7 countrys

Battery life is superb (they have built the game around using the RAM and so you will never feel the UMD spin - I played for 7 hours non stop)

Hey all. Championship Manager PSP by Gusto Games got some really poor reviews! How does this compare?

THis game is great in my opinion, and I have seen a review in 'PSM2', which gave it 80 out of 100, their points were valid but i don't think they were big footy fans. Overall Football manager is the better game if you ask me, and most other people i imagion.

If you heard about the split of Edios and sports interactive you will know that Chamionship manager is from a team who a very new and generally all their latest CM's are bugged (mostly in teh transfer market - i.e. southamton signing HENRY for 2 mil, lol) In their defence the PSP version does have a 2-d match engine but teh load times and proccesing takes a lot longer on PSP, not very portable.

Go for football manager, it amazing.

A good game. Harks back to the Championship Manager games of a few years ago, when life was a little more simple. However, though a somewhat slimmed down version from the current PC versions, it is still involving enough to be worthwhile; the game retains the important aspects and there is still much to do. Recommended to football fans, those who understand that there is no need to have a 3d engine for a management game...
