Virtua Tennis World Tour will feature a playable array of internationally renowned tennis pros in addition to a make-your-own player mode, exclusive mini-games, and original courts. Wi-Fi gameplay is supported, encouraging up to four friends to play together.
Virtua Tennis World Tour features three core gameplay modes: World Tour, in which players travel the globe using a custom-created character to win cash; Exhibition, where players can take control of a pro tennis all-star for one-off matches; and Tournament, which puts players in knockout sessions where only the best will see victory.
oh man i used to love playing super tennis for SNES and have been wanting to try out another more recent tennis game. i tried playing tennis and its harder than it looks, i think i'll stick to video game tennis for now lol. graphics look good enough and it doesnt seem like you could really screw up a tennis game, this could be a fun game on the go to get.
Virtua Tennis on the Dreamcast was a blast. Before it came out I never cared for tennis games in general. I sure hope the play mechanics and control stay close to what the original was. If it does then it will be another hit like Hot Shots.
haha...Virtua Tennis for Dreamcast was so much fun... I never knew that anyone else liked it beside me and my friends back home. We use to pull all nighters playing doubles tournys....ahhh, good times.
Man I can't wait for this. I recently bought a SonyEricsson K700i which has sega tennis game. not sure what its called.. Maybe something like superstar tennis tournament or something. Anyways i've gotten bored of it, but come on its a java game on a phone, so I can't wait for this one.
oh god, this makes me want to dig up my old dreamcast and start playing. Me and that game had some quality times, nothing more satisfying then beating a friend for the tenth time in a row and him still wanting a rematch.
There was just something about this one that made it special. I have fond memories of never-ending rallies against one of my friends because we were so evenly matched. I can't wait to get this... I hope it really does come out in August.
