I'm deciding between the Apacer Steno or ImageTank's Memory Bank (which i can also use to 'dump' photos from the flash cards)...
They are both USB OTG interface..hence, no need for PC to transfer files, when on the go!
This is good. But if you don't need a camera also there is no need to get this expensive model. It costs around 170. Instead you should get the *****Share Steno CD211*****. It only costs 60 dollars. And has basically the same features except for taking pictures. Plus it has a max of 80 GB.
You be easily set for all of your movies with it.
Has anyone tried this: Vosonic X's-Drive VP-3320. It can support HD up to 100GB and it seems to have a better interface. It also has a Memory Stick PRO reader built in which accepts PRO Duo with the adapter. Slightly larger than an iPod but also functions directly as an MP3 player. If you ask me this is a better deal although it is a bit more expensive but I'm willing to pay if the interface is useable. It is an OTG (On The Go) USB 2.0 so it should be compatible with the PSP. I'll email them and ask before I decide.
i saw the steno 311 and 211 AND Vosonic X's-Drive VP-3320 and of the three i prefer the 211 80 gig in my own opinion because its cheaper than the Vosonic X's-Drive VP-3320 and has more space than the 311...the only thing thats a bust is the learning curve but after alittle of fiddling around with the thing im sure ill get the hang of it, besides i dont need a Vosonic X's-Drive VP-3320 if i got a 40gig ipod to enjoy music to...the Vosonic X's-Drive VP-3320 would be a nice buy if i dont have a mp3 player then id buy the 80 gig Vosonic X's-Drive VP-3320 , thats my opinion-
I decided not to get the Vosonic drive after reading a review that said it can't play a playlist and all the files have to be individually played. What a waste... looked like such a good product. I still need a drive that can play mp3s. After some research I found the iAudio x5. Battery life is the same as an iPod, dimensions are the same as an iPod, weight, yep you guessed it, same as an iPod. Unlike and iPod, however, it is able to play mpeg-4 movies. This will be perfect if it works with the PSP. That means I can use it with the PSP when I have my PSP on me but don't need the PSP to watch movies for when I'm short on time, or just traveling lightly. Only downside is that the biggest model is 30GB but thats plenty for me. Hell 20 is plenty for me. Oh and if you think its gonna be more expensive because it can play movies, nope, costs the same as an iPod.
I just picked up the CD211 version of this and so far it seems pretty nice. As far as I can tell the only difference between the two is that the CD311 can read from SD cards and such directly while the CD211 has to be connected to a PC or other reader. I bought an 80GB drive for mine and I think I can get most of my mp3s and movies on it. At less than $200 altogether, I think this is a great buy. After all. I can use it with other stuff as well as the PSP.
Ordered mine on monday from My Digital Discount.com $159.00 got me a 60gb Share Steno Cd211. I was deciding between Apacer's share steno versus ImageTank G2 OTG (which looks like it has a better menu interface, and a CF slot, which would have been useful for my other devices w/ CF flash cards) However, a very nice rep emailed me after my inquiries, and said that the Apacer is a better choice, cheaper, and that the ImageTank has higher defective rate than all of their other products. I at least can use my mini sandisk card reader w/ the Apacer sharesteno if i need to load up files o my CF card for my Pocket PC. As for the PSP- its a direct connection.. I have since move all my converted movie files for PSP to the Apacer. I've converted a lot of my DVD collection into a 500-600 mb movies- which has a very good clean video quality and sound-and now i can put my 1gb memory stick and PSP to good use while travelling/on the road/trip.
Great product.
Get the Cd211-- the Cd311 is more expensive, it's only difference is a password enabled files, hidden files, and a packaged card reader in the box. For the price of the Cd311 40gb, you can get a 60gb Cd211!!
