These earbuds are excellent. Great sound quality, very comfortable. You can be on an airplane and only hear your music or whatever.

I also love the E3c's. I travel frequently and use these buds to listen to music on my MP3 player and play games/watch movies on my PSP. These buds are light, small, well packaged (store easily) and reproduce the sound from all sources very well.
These ear buds are designed to be accurate. So if you are looking for "boomy" base, you will not like these. Most headphones/earbuds with boomy base tend to over-emphasize the low frequencies.
These earbud are also efficient so they will produce the volume you expect. If they are not load enough for you, the amp in your device is probably underpowered. I find the volume levels of these to be excellent with the PSP.
I was on a flight the otherday playing Lumines on my PSP while using these bud. Before I realized it, two hours had passed and a member of the flight crew was asking me to "turn off my device to prepare for landing." I was literally isolated from the noise and boredom of the flight.
FYI.....just did a quick search on pricegrabber.com and they have listings for the E3c's as low as $119.95 US....new/in the box. This is much less than the $179.00 US list and usual $175.00 street proces I normally see.
My thoughts. Hope this helps.edited: May 10 2005

i'm way late to this thread, but you are completely wrong. I had the cheaper Sony ones and defended them to the end. I just picked up a pair of these e3c's and they are mind, or ear-blowing. I hear things in my music that I never did before. yeah, they are expensive, but if you appreciate your music, you'll love these cans.
