The Sony ones were a lot cheaper but still excellent sound quality, but they kept breaking. Comfortable to. Wow! They sound great and are the most comfortable earbuds of headphone I have tried yet. The ear piece fits into your ear canal making a seal (sound isolation) which allows you to listen at much lower volumes without all the out side noise. This also give you much better base response. Like holding the Sony headphones right up against you ears. The great thing with the fitted ear piece (which comes in three sizes) is that it allows the cord and speaker to move around from body motion without changing the position in your ear. So if your doing any sports, bike riding, chewing gum the ear piece stays in place. Very cool.
