They are simple little things to create. You can make a cheap bare-bones one for 20 dollars. They just take an audio source (the headphone jack on the PSP) and using a simple Op-Amp IC circuit they can easily amplify the audio.

But this thing is only 12 bucks. Pretty good deal if you ask me. Just went on the website and purchased it. I'll write a review once I receive it. I'm still waiting for the Logitech Playgear Amp though, but this will do for now.

how can you say its a waste of money without trying it?
how can you say something 'looks' like it has crappy sound. Viewing and hearing are totally different things.

The manual says "Do not place system close to items with a magnetic strip, such as credit cards." Don't speakers have big magnets? Now if a credit card's magnetic strip could do damage, wouldn't 2 large speakers cause even more damage? Clarify this for me.....

They meant that the data stored on the magnetic strip on credit cards can be wiped if you place it too near a magnetic source, eg speakers.edited: May 12 2005
