Sorry, but you can't use the Neo Geo Pocket as an example - those use unlit transflective LCDs and -require- external light in order to see the screen in the first place (like the GBC and normal GBA) - this is why they look so good in direct light. The PSP has a (lit) active-matrix TFT display, and using an anti-glare film would not make it easier to see the display in respect to direct light.

this i think would have its uses, like for an rpg in the or other text heavy game, or if you just want a bigger screen, but if you want a bigger screen than the stock one you have got problems

Ha, I remember having one of these for the original gameboy and after trying it once, I never used it again. Not only was the light dim, but the shadow of the thing hanging over the screen made the image hard to see. On top of that, it distorted the way things looked and on that old dot matrix screen, you really just saw a mess of dots and pixels instead of a clear picture of the game.
Pointless then and definitely not worth it now.

THIS HAS TO BE THE GAYEST ACESSORY OUT THERE! I COULDN'T STOP BURSTING OUT LAUGING WHEN I SAW THIS MONSTER! LOL SERIOUSLY IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR OLD GRANNYS WHO CAN'T SEE UP CLOSE. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE!!! BAD IDEA!! :P

You don't need a magnifier! The PSP's screen is 4.3". And it looks really weird, anyway.

There just is no need for it the screen is massive. And there isn't glare especially and besides which you can already buy anti glare screen protectors from Hong-Kong. Anyway with my glasses I see no need for a magnifier but without my glasses I cannot see really, people and objects look like splodges and I can't recognise a person across the room, I never realised how bad it was until recently, that is when I got glasses and I could actually read all of the signs on the motorway(By the way I don't drive I am to young... Far too young, well by a few years).

I had one of these for my GBA but that screen was about a 6th the size as the psp's. The psp's screen is fine already, and by the way, I highly doubt this will help you play in the direct sunlight...................
