I dont think its worth it man. You gotta be blind not to be able to see whats on the screen as big as it is. Dont know if it has a light on it because if it does it definetly not worth it cuz i can play my psp in the dark no problem. NOTE: I have 20/20 vision and dont need glasses so not sure if that maybe a factor.

Id agree with ashylarry here - seems a bit odd to have a magnifier on something as already huge as the PSP screen is? Prolly be smarter to get a small portable LCD and a TV adaptor (when they come out.. :-) ). And the light does also seem quite odd - not sure why you would want to drain the battery more, even with the huge amount of brightness the PSP puts out - maybe if you are wearing sun glasses :-)

This may not be neccessary, but there are those people that may need the magnifier.

Ugh - every single "magnifier" for a portable system has been crap that I've seen so far - the screen distortion from the magnification lens makes the picture look horrible, and the cheap plastic used for the lens scratches easily. The PSP already has a lit screen, so that eliminates the main reason for magnification devices existing for portables in the first place - as a light source. Dumb dumb dumb.

Why not just get a jewler's loupe so you can see the pixels in ridiculous detail? You'll look half as stupid with it than with the mag lens and earn the envy of all your jewler buddies to boot.

Unless this is made out of high quality glass (it's not, it doesn't cost $200) it's going to distort the picture. And what, are people trying to use their PSP from 5' away? The screen is gigantic for a portable "gaming" system and very playable in direct sunlight.

Bottom line: useful for Gameboys, not for PSPs.

to corrent stifled, the PSP is absolutly NOT playable in direct sunlight. I'd love to see someone actually play a game (and not lose all the time) with the sun shining right on the screen. I don't care what you say, it's just not gonna happen.

It looks like it is distorting the picture and is reflecting everything. And the screen is plenty big anyway

why would you possibly ever need this.....i believe the screen was made so big for this to never ever to be a necessity.

I agree with frcdsnupssuk, the PSP definately is not playable in direct sunlight. I live in Phoenix, and had a difficult time reading the LCD screen sitting at the bus stop a couple days ago. It can easily be played in sunlight if you have something shading your screen though.

As far as this product, I agree with the majority that it's pretty useless. The PSP's screen is big enough, and I can play it with my horrible vision, at night, and without contacts/glasses.

What some company needs to make, is screen film that not only protects the screen but has an anti-glare layer on it. something that uses the light to view the screen instead of reflect it.. take the neo geo pocket for example.. that thing looks clear as hell in direct sunlight.. Just make an anti-Glare film.
