Sony may have stipulated that games should be underclocked for the initial games as a battery saving measure. Probably along a set of guidelines expecting X amount of play time.
All the stores and magazines here in Japan are incognito about GTPSP, the only info is "in 2005" so I hope it comes before september (when I kiss Kanji goodbye)
