Is the only benefit of this over the stock Sony charger the fact that the bulky adapter piece is at the end where you plug in rather than in the middle? The best portable game platform recharger I've seen is the one that comes with GBA-SP, very small, plug prongs fold into the tiny adaptor when not in use, great design.

The only replacement recharger cable I'd get is one that has a retractable cord and small form factor. I hope somebody develops one. If they combined it with a battery feature so it also acted like a Power Brick when traveling, that would be a killer ap. Products like these need to all be converged to keep the PSP "portable".

It is also universal, you don't need a converter if you go some where that uses 220-240v instead of 100-120v like the USA. Just plug and go.

Javo - thanks for the reply, that is a decent feature for int'l travelers. BTW, I think it's GREAT you participate in these forums, I wish other companies would do the same.

The Japanese PSP charger that's bundled with the PSP is universal 110-240v too. All I needed was a jap pin convertor and I'm all set.
