New and old gamers will be pleased to know that a collection of 7 classic Namco games are coming to the PSP. Games include Pac-Man, Ms.Pac-Man, Galaga, Galaxian, Dig-Dug, Rally-X, and New Rally-X. Four of the games, Pac-Man, Galaga, New Rally-X, and Dig-Dug, will make use of the PSP hardware to allow for multi-player gaming and more.
Originally released earlier this year in Japan, the U.S. version will be graced with 10 exclusive classics. "Xevious," "Bosconian," "Mappy," "Tower of Druaga," "Dragon Buster," "Grobda," "Dig Dug 2," "King & Balloon" and others bring the total to more than 20 titles.
Well, it -is- by Namco, so have to expect that. Midway is also making a classics game pack too that'll be out later this year (yay defender!). I'll be getting both. :D
cassie: Sorry, I was refering to the Japanese "Namco Museum PSP". It has just the 7 original Namco titles (plus updated versions) mentioned in the review for Namco BATTLE.
According to Amazon.com, the game is listed at $39.99 and will be available on August 9th. I did a pre-order at my local Game Crazy. $40 is a bit too high for this game, but I'll still get it.
This set of games is fantastic. It was worth the money just to get the updated version of Galaxian (Galaga). I grew up with these games so it was a bit of a memory-lane trip but my young son (7) thinks these are great too.
