For the first time in 10 years, the Madden NFL Football franchise has revolutionized its passing game, giving Madden NFL 06 the most groundbreaking and innovative offensive arsenal ever created. The new QB Vision Control lets you scan the field, look off defenders, and make perfect throws within your quarterback's unique field of vision. QB Precision Placement allows you to put the ball exactly where you want it. Lead the receiver to an open area, throw it behind him so he can come back to it or throw a jump ball and let him go get it.

Game comes out on Sept 20th nationwide. EA Sports is here in Orlando next door so I got the scoop form the guys making it. It will have both ad hoc & infrastructure online play. No instant replay though, bummer, and thank gods no QB passing cone like the consol has. It will have some wicked mini-games unique to the PSP as well. From what the EA guys say, its going to be sweet. Check out gamespot.com for some pimped out videos you can download and an awesome hands-on review. If anyone knows any other site with different videos, let me know please. IGN.com has some vids too but less than gamespot.com.

Yes its got online Infrastructure mode so sit on your couch and challenge away. This game is going to be sweeet. JASIU, I hear ya man but no use crying over spilled Milk, its over and done with and sorry to say EA always made the better, yet more expensive, football games anyway. I have all the 2K series as well and they're fun but EA buying the license just saves me $19.99 a year. Hopefully EA will continue to pump out the great football games. NCAA 2006 is awesome, Madden 2006 for ps2 was F*cking awesome too. So far they are 2-0

i bought the game about 4 days ago and probably played it 3 times. i'm so used to the console version (xbox/ps2) that the psp version is kind of a disappointment to me. the loading times are horrible and the gameplay is okay, considering that there's a lot of unnecessary freezing. ex., scoring td's, incomplete passes, and just real choppy gameplay at times. i havent really taken the time to enjoy the game becus i jumped straight into franchise mode, being that i'm a hardcore madden player. thought to self * maybe i should play a quick game and then see if i enjoy it....or maybe not *. i dont want to ruin anyone's conception about the game but my experience with it has not been so good. o yea, one other thing i've notice was that during the preseason, after i've passed the traing camp, only some of the players upgraded stats where there. dont know y it does that. i've started two franchises to see if it was just that particular file but it happened with both. as far as the crashing after week two, i wouldn't know. haven't enjoyed the game that much too get that far *sounds strange being that i'm a HARDCORE MADDEN GAMER*. for anyone that is worried about the crashing with their game, ea has said that a solution for the problem is to just play your games through the team schedule instead of the week schedule. well i hope i've helped someone at least with my own experience. ta ta now

i feel relieved now. i just returned the game yesterday and got all of my $54.74 back, even tho the game was new. now i can invest my money into another game, maybe used so then i can return that too. madden is an excellent game...for the consoles newayz. for the psp, i have my reasons to believe that it is just sh*tty. ta ta now

I bought my PSP for Madden -- I haven't played console games since Sega Genesis. I don't want to sit in front of a tv so PSP was something I've wanted ever since I saw a guy playin Tiger Woods on an airplane. So I haven't seen any recent console games (for like 10 years) so I'm happy! I haven't figured it all out yet, QB Vision thing or precise passing, but I like the game play - ya load times can be annoying.
I have had it freeze and crash and reset my PSP. I have quit Madden to be presented with Japanese language interface. And last nite in Franchise mode I couldn't play the week's game, it wanted to simulate it and I couldn't find a way to actually play the game (I won, phew). And sometimes the kicking circle gadget freezes/grayed out, a quick pause and resume seems to reset it.
No gripes about actual game play -- I'm not a young-un so kickin is pretty hard for me (i won't be buyin golf anytime soon!) I'm acurate with no power. I really like the play preview (R button) and have just started in on audibles and what not, but the basic game play is exactly what i wanted. Graphics are fine -- except I think the teams disappear for the special end-of-play celebration -- sometimes teams are there as the ball carrier tosses ball and walks away, sometimes not.
But the sheer richness of line-ups and plays, substitutions, audibles, is just incredible football strategy fun! And it's pretty authentic cause my Niners are getting whacked!
