The software is everything for this - sounds interesting, particularly the save backup function with a PS2. Datel's done pretty well with the Action Replay/GameShark line, so this may be decent. Thank god it's not another USB cable with fancy packaging and a $30 price tag....oh I mean the gold contact ones they push on you at Best Buy.
I chose this instead of other usb cables because of the bundled PC and PS2 software. The PC software is okay, I haven't yet tried the ps2 software to combine all my ps2 gamesaves onto one memory card (As it is I'm filling up my included 32MB card with Wipeout Pure Gamma Packs so that doesn't leave room for much else =b ) I am definitely looking forward to getting more out of this when I get a bigger memory stick duo.
I bought this for $20 Canadian, opened the package, took out the cable, and threw the rest, including the software MiniCD away. I wouldn't be able to run the software on it anyway since I'm a Mac user. Works fine for me. Does everything it's supposed to. If I need to convert anything, which I doubt, I can always download something off the 'net.
