A decade after Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) destroyed the original Terminator, a second unstoppable killing machine (Arnold Schwarzenegger) arrives from the post-apocalyptic year 2029. But this time his mission is to stop an even deadlier Terminator, the T-1000 (Robert Patrick), made entirely of shape-shifting liquid metal and determined to kill young John Connor (Edward Furlong), the future leader of the human resistance. Sarah, John, and the Terminator counter by going after the scientist responsible for developing Skynet, the computer system fated to destroy humanity, leading to an explosive and spectacular clash with the fate of humanity in the balance.
This is by far my favorite movie of all time, so pardon me if I seem a little biased.
I am very impressed with this UMD. They did a bang up job in the transfer/compression of the movie to UMD format. The picture quality rivals that of the DVD and looks better than my T.V.
The sound is also awesome. I have to give props to the included "Dolby Headphone Track" which is supposed to give you a "Surround Sound" experience with stereo headphones although in my experience all I noticed was that the voices sounded far away and tinny compared to the standard stereo track.
No features per say, although they do have a cute little animated menu screen similar to the Ultimate/special edition DVDs.
One complaint is that this is the theatrical version of the movie (I've always preferred the director's cut/extended edition). I'm guessing that they did not put this version on the disc due to space limitations.
Overall I give Terminator 2: Judgment Day UMD a 9/10 and I highly recommend it to any and everyone who owns a PSP.
I like this movie very very very much. I already got about 10 different versions of DVDs. I will definitely get it but is there a region 3 version coming out soon? My PSP cannot play region 1 movie. Have to ......Wait ......& Wait ......& Wait ...... For the time being I will continue to watch it with the MP4 files stored in the memory stick.
I have boycotted buying ANY Schwarzenegger movies on DVD, PSP, --anything-- (for over a year, now) until he does 'what's right' and tell people that he doesn't want to be President, and that no one should try to change the Constitution in order to allow a foreign born citizen to be President. --What a thick-headed glory hound! That being said, T3 was so much better than this disney flick-wrapped-in-a-blood blanket.
