Has anyone custom-cut some foam padding for the case? With that in place on the bottoms and side, it would seem like that would cut down on the rattling and give you some improved protection (and make it look better to boo).

I was thinking about that, but not really anything can fit under the games if you want 3 to successfully fit in the case. all you could really do is place it on the sides and in that case, its kind of pointless to make cause the sides have very little space and if you have 3 they already lock in just fine.

I cut out a piece of tissue and put it on the bottom to avoid scratching the bottom of the UMDs. I plan to replace that with something more permanent later. Agent is right, though, there's no room for sidewalling.

haha.. this is such an awesome idea! ahaha i was wondering what this candy was doing on the PSP gear page... it'd be funny if altoid sales skyrocketed because of this.

i hope they sell them here though.

HEHEHE...At least in miami they sell these everywhere...gas stations, 7-elevens, even at the Denny's counter!! I came across thi page today and thought it was so hillarious because I tried it on my own before even viewing this here!!! How wicked is that! My wife and I have always been fans of Altoids mints, and use their nifty cases for many things..bathroom candles that my wife makes, button and needle storage, candy to take to the movies (M&M's, Raisinets, Gummibears, etc.) car change holder, key copies storage, etc. They are really handy. God Bless my personal favorites, citrus sours!! Although my wife preffers the sour apple kind.

ok fellas are you guys talking about walking into a grocery store and buying some altoids (umd's do fit in them) or are you talking about some idiot idea of creating something exactly alike it with sony branding it or something?

Amazing! I saw all these reviews and it looked stupid. I bought the altoids anyway, and now I find that it works quite well. I like the sour apple flavor best.
And to stop the rattling, I just lined the case with the cleaning cloth.

I have the sourapple case and i fit a soft cloth on the bottom with umd disks and the head phones with remote in this little can. great for subway rides and waiting room. Make a grown up like me feel more normal with an altoids tin than a psp carrying case. The sour chewing gum tin is great for the headphones and remote as well...love those altoids.

WHAT!!! 3 FOR A POUND!!! that's approx. $1.50 for three tins!!! here in NY they are $2.50 PER TIN!!! they're fricken expensive! it's probably cheaper to buy a UMD holder.

Don't think I'll be putting my UMDs in these...but I may get a tin as I'm now curious to find out how Altoids sours taste..! I agree with the reviewer who said he almost accidentally threw out his tin full of UMDs nearly mistaking them for an empty container. Not a $40-$120 mistake I'd be willing to live with...
