Did anyone have the idea of the "Power Station 3800mah" by GameTop? I bought it and first charge for 8 hours. There's no heating up
at all but I still haven't try to use it. Still not yet know the performance but it almost alike the Power Brick specifications.

Mine just charges it once fine; then is completly empty. Anywone have the same problem?edited: Jun 30 2005

Just as a follow up, I have recharged my Pelican power brick several times since my post, and I have even felt the brick after an hour of charging. Mine was not hot at all. I know mine is working properly because I have used the brick to power/charge my PSP after the battery on my PSP was too low to operate my PSP. This is just my experience.

dude that thing is so hot the first time you charge it and cold the second time.

Mine didn't get hot the first time I charged it but I made a couple other observations.
Did anyone else have a difficult time getting the plug into the PSP DC input? I had to push it in really hard to make it work. Felt like I might damage my PSP.
Also, does anyone else get a slight high pitch buzzing from their PSP when charging it with the power brick? I don't get the same buzzing when charging the PSP from the AC adaptor.

i bought it, and now it's sitting in a drawer somewhere. it could charge while playing, but it took like 6 hours and it did get hot. i had a problem with the brick staying charged itself. maybe it's just the one i got, or maybe i just like having the extra battery i bought (no wires).

Just to pipe in...
Mine too gets really hot, but I don't care that much (unless it bursts in to flames), as it does do its job -- albeit only good for one charge.
The real down side to mine, is that where the cord comes out of the square I had to tape that down to create...pressure/tension/connection...or else it wouldn't work.
But as a backup cheap piece of crap in my bag that works (like when I flew from Kuala Lumpur to the Dominican Republic this month) ya can't beat it.
My second batter backup hold four AAs and also connects to the PS.
Add those two together and alles klar.

My Power Brick charged the PSP once and then it was too low to give more than 10% on the second try. I tried to chain the PSP and the brick to charge together like the instructions said, but after a couple hours (30% charge level on PSP) the brick started burning and is now totally fried. I could smell it burning accross the room. It overloads the PSP charger and you have to let the charger cool for a few minutes before you can charge your PSP again (it must have a thermal protection circuit....thank God, I thought my PSP was fried too!!!). I have to rate this product as EXTREMELY POOR, as it has horrible thermal protection and poor battery quality.
STAY AWAY FROM PELICAN!!!

Warning!!!! There is a recall for the "brick". They say that is can catch on fire. Make sure you look into it before buying it.
