could someone plz give me some advice. I have been getting mixed feelings as to which skin manufacturers i should buy from. Should i buy from evolution or decal girl. I like the decal skin rock candy the best but am nervous about the whole lights being covered up. plz help me out!
I have 2 skins from them, and had no problems with applying them. My advice with your concerns about the lights is this... These skins are non sticky, so they are not permenent. Sooo, if you are willing to take a tiny bit of your time, you could actually change these skins so they dont cover up the lights, by simply "poking holes" where the lights will be. All you would have to do is, clean your PSP like you have to do anyways before applying any skins, then turn it on and note where the lights are. Then make markings on the skins themselves with a pencil. Then use a super sharp sowing needle to start a hole, reapply the skin to re-erify that it is in the right place, and once you have done that, use a larger sharp object to "stretch" the hole to as big as you wish so the lights come through "enough for you" [how much you desire]. That should do the trick.
I use a digital kind of 3D skin from decal girl [cant remember the name right off the top of my head] and even though the light is covered up, i dont really miss it. You can still simply learn button lacement and "how" to turn off your PSP so youll know where they need to be for wireless to be on and how to set your handheld to the on/off position [the manual should help you], but i think like you i also have little things about my handheld, as does everyone else that we "have to have", so this is obviously yours. Personally i would be scared about damaging my new skins, so i would go to those online sites, download and print the skin template, and practice on a printed version a few times, going over *HOW* i am going to do it, and *WHERE* i am going to do it to the actualy skin/ Then when i am satisfied with placement and method, go ahead and place a hole in the skin itself. It may not need to also be as big as the light surface area if i had to guess.... You may only need to make a tiny hole like with a pin and the light may come through enough for you to see...?
Sorry i have not tries this, i would for you first cause now i am interested, but i have no sowing needles. LOL But hope it gave you some things to think about and maybe an idea?
Thanks alot corpsman really good advice. Oh and don't worry im no noob when it comes to the button placement on my psp just didn't want to get caught with the battery dying out while im in a heated game of madden 06 thanks alot!!!! :D
