In a mad search for power, evil genius Erwin creates a machine that can penetrate into the world of the Ghosts...the Spectral Realm! But now the Spectral Realm is collapsing into the real world, and this will bring about a massive catastrophe that will plunge the world into a state of devistation for years to come!

After mysteriously having been transported out of Pac-Village and into this strange and different land, it is up to Pac-Man to uncover Erwin's plot and save the world. Along the way, Pac-Man will meet a host of unexpected "old friends," and in order to defeat the ultimate enemy, he might just have to turn his old foes into allies!

While combining contemporary platform game mechanics with traditional Pac-Man play principles, Pac-Man World 3 features Pac-Man staples including Power Pellets, Pac-Dots, Pac-Chains and fruit while adding new elements such as a Pactrometer, power-up smoothies and several new special moves. Players will even get to play as Pinky and Clyde, who each have distinctive special abilities.

errr, you do realise this is a full on 3d game ala Mario 64, and NOT a normal pacman maze game? so, really, it aint that old at all

but the fact is it ISNT the standard pacman maze game, so we dont know exactly what to expect until its released (ok, theres pac man world 2 for ps2, but still, doesnt mean they wont include lots of new stuff, especially utilising PSP specific features), and its made by Namco and we know what a good job they made of Ridge Racers, and its still one of the first platform games announced for PSP

.... and the more choice the better, so how can it be a bad thing

Hey, a new PSP game is a new PSP game. If it's good, it's good. If it's bad, we won't buy it. Plain and simple.

Exactly shirase. We've just posted up some exclusive screens, and as you can see it's a 3D platformer not unlike many others which are quite popular. It is a good sign to see such popular franchises on the PSP as this points to confidence and support from developers and publishers. In the end, we all stand to benefit from greater selection and more adoption.

It also does contain the 80's PacMan. Seems to be a theme with namco games to include a retro game in there. I'm all for it!

You guys may not believe me, but I played this little delight at E3, and it was a freakin BLAST! I just sat at the booth as an excuse to... well, sit! I started playing, and couldn't put it down. Very fun game.

All these kids saying Pacman is dumb, Pacman is gay(ouch), do you realize that if Pacman didn't exist that video games as you know them wouldnt exist? It's just beyond me how anyone could dislike Pacman (as a person mainly), this game looks awesome.
