I recently purchased the Joytron System Skin Case. It's a great product that is definitely worth a buy.
It comes in four parts that are easy to put on as they are to take off. The product is lightweight and
is very slim so it doesn't get in the way of game play. None of the parts get in the way of psp functions as well.

I just bought one of these from a store in my local Japantown... 20 dollars, not bad. It came with a small, very small folding stand. It said, "limited time" so I don't know if its in all. The stand does its job and lets you choose 2 angles to view the PSP while on a stable surface and when clam-shelled close is about 1 inch by 1.5 inches and really thin, ome CM at the very most.
The enclosure is pretty good looking. The store had other colors available for the original psp, but only the one pictured here for the slim.
It does not come with a screen guard so put one one before putting this on.

Joytron PSP Slim & Lite System Skin Case
I was in the market for a PSP case that would fit in my Sony PSP sleeve. After scouring the internet, I came across a blog mentioning the Joytron case. After checking around, and seeing it got good reviews, I decided to buy it.
I ordered straight from the manufacturer's website since they were offering a free PSP stand with purchase. It arrived in a box with Korean writing and not much English, but the packaging looked good anyway.
After cracking open the box, I initially was a little skeptical... it seemed a little flimsy. But once I put it on the PSP it felt great. There were instructions - which I read (they were in English) - but didn’t need. Four pieces in total, the back and front pieces were interlocking and the UMD cover portion was independent of the other pieces. Nice thing about the case is that all the ports, headphone, USB and memory slot are all still easily accessible.
Once it was on I was genuinely impressed, my main fear was that the case would not be snug and the PSP would move around a little causing surface scratching - but this does not happen - to the contrary the case fits snug and tight with no wiggle room.
Overall I like how it looks and it feels nice - my other concern was that it would make my "PSP Slim" into a "PSP Thick" - while it does add a marginal thickness ... it is very thin, and feels good. Another worry of mine was how the buttons would feel with the little case lip...but that also turned out to be a non-issue since the case is so thin.
I am very happy with the case, I don’t think it provides much shock absorption - but it will prevent my PSP from scratched or smudged - which is what I wanted.

Recently I decided to purchase a PSP slim. Anyone who’s held this piece of electronic in their hands knows it’s a perfect marker board for finger prints and feels a bit fragile compared to the NDS. So, like any gamer who has a sense of responsibility to properly care of an expensive piece of electronic which mostly likely is to be used to death, I decided to search for a PSP case. Lo and behold I find the Joytron’s Slim Skin Case.
The case was ordered on a Monday and arrived three days later, which is quite impressive. Everything was packed well. I immediately set to attach the case to my brand new PSP. The parts were relatively easy to put on and I had no problems. The entire case hugged the PSP just right, left just enough space for the buttons and didn’t get in the way of gameplay. The case even provides easy access to the UMD slot which is quite nice. While the case is attached to the PSP it does not obstruct basic usage and access to most parts and I get to appreciate the PSP to its fullest.
One thing you will require however, if you want to fully cover your PSP, is a screen protector because the Joytron System Skin Case does not provide coverage for the screen. Most cases do not have a screen protector though and it is not too much of a problem to buy a screen protector in addition. There are many available including one which Joytron makes.
While the case is one of the more expensive ones out there, about 20 USD, its well worth the price compared to the cheaper quality ones that make your PSP slim look and feel like a brick. It provides the right amount of coverage and isn’t too chunky. I’m really happy with the Joytron case. It even comes with a useful little stand perfect for watching movies on the PSP.

I’ve had my joytron case for a couple of months now and I really like it. It fit’s the psp slim perfectly. The pieces do not slide or wiggle at all. It’s the slimmest case I’ve found. I was actually hoping it would add a little bulk because I have trouble holding my psp slim for long periods of time, bug I didn’t notice any extra bulk. It seems to protect well too. I don’t think you could throw it against a wall but it keeps the scratches off and I think it would protect against a short fall. I paired mine with a semi-hard case for traveling. Shipping was very fast and I got a hand written note just like everyone else thanking me for the purchase. It was very easy and self explanatory to put on. I think I’m going to eventually put on an invisible shield for the screen but I haven’t had any problems with it whatsoever. Great product .

Having recently purchased a God of War PSP pack, I found myself in need of a case for my PSP-2000. I bought a carrying case, but didn't really think that it was enough.
Upon a recommendation from a co-worker, I purchased a Joytron System Skin Case from Nuri Tech's Amazon storefront. There are a few different versions available -- I chose the crystal one.
It didn't look like much upon it's arrival and the plastic felt a little flimsy. It snapped onto the PSP very easily and didn't add much bulk to the system at all. All of the buttons remain open and usable, and there is a protective cover for the UMD door which allows it to operate normally.
The screen is exposed with the skin, so you'll still want to have a screen protector (and you'll want to do a better job applying it than I did). How much protection the skin actually adds is questionable, but I'd rather take my chances with it than without it. I won't be drop-testing my PSP with it, but it will remain much safer in my messenger bag now.
Overall, I'm very happy with this case (I'm not sure why they call it a skin -- since, to me at least, that implies a silicon case rather than hard plastic). I am a clumsy oaf, so I always tend to err on the side of caution with small (especially portable) electronics. For that reason alone, I totally recommend it and will be checking out some of the other Joytron cases for my DS Lite now.

I have owned a PSP ever since it came out, including the PSP Slim (yes, I have two PSP's). When I got the core PSP 1000, I was pretty happy with the neoprene slip on that came with it and I treated my PSP very well. When the PSP Slim came out, I didn't really want to buy it since many said that there wasn't any major changes to it that was worth spending the extra money. However, I eventually caved in and purchased it. When I realized how much more delicate it was (I heard that the Slim was made lighter by removing a metal chassis that was in the PSP fat that was supposed to help the PSP survive blunt trauma force ie. such as dropping it), and how much easier it was to attract fingerprint smudges, I decided to buy a real quality case for it. I decided on the Joytron system skin case mostly because many people said good things about it and I didn't exactly want to go to eBay and buy one of those cheap plastic cases that are often sold there. So, I paid for the case and it came VERY quickly (only 2 days!). Here are some things that I really like about it so far:
Box/Packaging - The box itself is in a bit on the thin side and colored very attractively. The black and green appeal strongly to the eye, though it is written in Korean. Not to worry, the instructions are written in English and actually, really aren't needed as it's pretty obvious how it's put together
Construction/Form - The system case itself comes in four pieces: the faceplate that goes over the front of the PSP, two back plates that go over the two the battery case and the side opposite that and then one over the UMD door. They're all held together to the faceplate by these little plastic hooks and I'm not quite sure how strong they are, but this system case isn't designed to survive drops like the Logitech Playgear Pocket.
Anyway, the clips seem to hold the two back plates pretty well, while the UMD door plate simply clips on to the door itself and does not attach or touch the other parts of the case. Also, note that there is NO protection for the screen, you may want to think about investing in a good screen protector, such as the one Hori produces (found on eBay for less than $3 and very high quality) or the one made by invisibleShield (which is about $11 or $12) from their website directly, also high quality.
The skin is also very thin compared to other like cases that I've seen, it does add some bulk, but not much at all. The holes cut for the buttons and analog stick, as well as shoulder buttons, are pretty good; the buttons are easy to access and use for gaming; it doesn't hinder your thumbs and the other ports, such as for headphones, power, on button, WLAN and top USB port are open and not hindered or covered at all. Special holes for sound and lights, as well as the buttons along the bottom of the screen were also cut in precisely, so it fits over the front of the PSP perfectly. The memory stick port was also surprisingly easy to get to as the gap between the front and bad covers were large enough for the door to pass through.
A hook does go through the loop for a wrist strap, but it shouldn't force you to take away the strap. The UMD door does open easily, though I have heard some complaints about it, I personally do not find it problematic so far. Also, I've heard some things that the case might be difficult to remove, but I myself have not tried it (and I'm not sure why you would want to remove it...)
Also, I want to note that the package came with a handwritten note, as well as a promotion to get a free Nuritech product, which is pretty cool
Feel - The material of the case at first feels cheap, but not when you get it on your PSP. When you put your hands around it once it's on the PSP, it's very smooth, though it won't attract fingerprints or smudges unless it's oily (I assume). It actually feels very nice to handle and if your fingers are sweaty, you shouldn't worry about them getting a bit sticky on your PSP. The case is also very light, though it should absorb scratches and such very well, and MIGHT handle drops, though I don't think anyone should experiment with that.
Look - I bought the leather black system skin case and so far, it looks very good. I have a black PSP, so it's nothing spectacular, but you can still see the sleek lines of the PSP and it doesn't look like the case is something monster eating or covering up the PSP. I especially like how not bulky the case looks, so your PSP really is nice, small and sleek.
Conclusion - I say, truthfully, that this is probably THE best case you can find for the PSP in order to avoid minor damages, like scratches, as well as preserving the aesthetic of the PSP itself. It's a bit of a price tag (21.99 for the black/red one, 19.99 for the clear one, which many opt for anyway). The case also comes with a nice stand that props the PSP up for movie watching, as well as a small strap, which is a nice touch. This case isn't designed for drops, like I said before, and is for scratches and smudges. If you don't think you're clumsy and you just want a good case that you don't have to struggle to get in and out of your pocket, this case is the one for you. I recommend this for any PSP owner.
PS - I also want to note that with this case, you can fit your PSP pretty snugly into the PSP neoprene slip that was originally designed for the PSP fat, so it doesn't slide out as easily. This was a big plus for me.

The Joy System Skin Case is not really a skin and not really a case, but a hard shell that's designed to be put on and left on. It's relatively easy to take it off again. Once in place the case is surprisingly durable and does a good job of keeping the PSP's shiny finish scratch-free. All of the ports, lights and buttons are easily accessible due to spaces left open in the case's design. The unit I bought was red with the RF finish that doesn't take fingerprints and looks pretty cool. The System Skin Case is also available in a variety of other colors, both matte and metallic, so there's probably something to suit everyone's taste. You have to add some kind of screen protector, though, as this case doesn't cover the screen at all. Over all the design is superb, since I have the metallic blue PSP it looks great with the red skin.

Does this skin fit the PSP-3000? If not, are there any similar (good) skins that do fit the 3000 that are super slim as well?
